June 29, 2010
The well-known Finnish high-end independent watchmaker Stepan Sarpaneva proudly presents his new horological creation - the Sarpaneva Korona K0 watch that is notable for the ultimately unconventional design.

The Sarpaneva Korona collection of timepieces is widely know among the watch aficionados and appreciated for exceptional, one-of-a-kind design. The Sarpaneva Korona K0 watch makes a wonderful replenishment to the legendary collection. It boasts supreme quality and craftsmanship.
The new Sarpaneva watch is housed by a 46 mm case crafted from Grade 2 titanium. Due to the durable case construction the watch is water resistant down to 200 meters. The new Korona K0 watch is notable for the spectacular spider-web-inspired dial sculptured in black diamond-coated stainless steel. The dial is surrounded by the diver’s timer ring that is Imperial Blue diamond-coated. The ring is incorporated right into the movement itself, so all the functions are set with help of the only crown.
The dial is protected by a 1.5-mm sapphire crystal coated with the anti-reflection treatment with SARPANEVA printed onto it. The dial features lumed circles for hour indices, while the minutes are shown on the timer ring. The rhodium-plated hands are coated with the Superluminova luminescent treatment.
The novelty by Sarpaneva is powered by a modified Soprod A10 movement with 25 jewels. This automatic movement is beating at a frequency of 28,800 bph and guarantees 42 hours of power reserve. The Sarpaneva Korona K0 watch is secured on the wrist with a rubber strap.
