HARRY WINSTON together with Time Aeon Foundation launches a new project – The Pleiad which is an international contest among the watchmakers who don’t have their own brands or don’t sell their watches under the proprietary brand. The winner will have the opportunity to develop his project under the supervision of legendary watchmakers from Time Aeon Foundation.

Limited number of watches will be sold under the Harry Winston brand but with the name of the winner at the dial of the watch. This is strictly speaking not a new practice for this brand since the Opus 2001.

Time Aeon Foundation is a non-profitable organization created in Switzerland in 2008. Its main goal is to preserve, maintain and promote haute horlogerie. Among the founders of the organization there are Robert Greubel, Stephen Forsey, Philippe Dufour, Vianney Halter and Kari Voutilainen. The same people form the jury and obviously under their supervision the winner will design his timepieces.

The Board of Directors has announced Mr Emmanuel Vuille to be nominated as Chief Executive Officer of Greubel Forsey, CompliTime and CT Time with effect from 1st January 2009.

Mr. Vuille’s career in the watch industry goes back seventeen years. Among other accomplishments, he served at Parmigiani Fleurier as Managing Director, and was the CEO of the Sandoz Family Foundation’s watch manufacturing division. Vuille is married, and the father of six children.

The members of the Board wish Mr Vuille every success in his new function and would like to take the opportunity to thank in advance their clients, suppliers and the whole team for their support.

The brand concept of Greubel Forsey will maintain its current trajectory into the future, with founding watchmakers Robert Greubel and Stephen Forsey continuing to develop extraordinary haute horlogerie that pushes the boundaries of artistic craftsmanship and mechanical ingenuity.
