CARL F. BUCHERER has replenished its Alacria Diva collection with a new model produced in a limited edition of 25 pieces - Alacria Diva Gothic.
It seems that precious stones incrustation of cases and dials has become a trend among the well-known and reputable watchmaking brands. There have already been so many various models of inlayed watches, but from time to time their number is increased by new timepieces of the same kind.
Alacria Diva Gothic features a slightly waisted rectangular 18K white gold case sized 31 X 45 mm and an intricate dial both decorated with 211 rubies and 156 diamonds. The watch is equipped with scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. Black stingray and red alligator leathers make up the exotic strap, whose white gold buckle is adorned with 13 round brilliant diamonds. Inside the watch is not as mysterious as outside: it is based on the battery-powered quartz ETA 256.031, assuring optimum convenience and timekeeping precision.

Carl F. Bucherer has presented its new ambassador – Nela König, a 37-year old photographer form Germany.
As Swiss brand’s spokesmen state Nela’s credo and Carl F. Bucherer’s philosophy have much in common. Nela König, as she stated, doesn’t like retouched glamorous pictures, but appreciates style and originality in them. “Our point of view is the same when it comes to our watches”, spokesmen of Carl F. Bucherer emphasize.

Patravi TravelTec Four X

A new Patravi TravelTec Four X combines 3 time zones and 4 materials: palladium for the case, titanium for the inner ring, ceramics for the outer ring and rubber for the crown and pushers. Selected materials turn the latest complete watch movement from the Patravi collection by Carl F. Bucherer into a talking piece and design statement for watch lovers. Together, the four highly diverse materials we can definitely add a fifth dimension: that of exclusivity.
The instrument-orientated Patravi TravelTec Four X has nothing to hide, and so the watchmakers fitted it with a skeleton dial, which openly reveals the gearing of the intricately decorated automatic movement. The refined date aperture provides a real feast to behold under a good magnifying glass: the numerals are milled out of the date rim and stay out of sight until they come into view against a red background in the date window. The technical look of the total concept is strengthened by the colour interplay - matt black, contrasting with gleaming metal, and red, high-lighting important information on the dial. This watch is an instrument, an engineering feat within the smallest of spaces.
As well as being a practical chronograph, this stunning watch, which features the exclusive CFB 1901 calibre (39 jewels) providing power reserve of 42 hours, also boasts a range of functions enabling several time zones to be displayed. The third time display is operated by a newly developed single push-button mechanism. Local time can be quickly and easily set, moving the hour hand an hour at a time using the crown, while the watch continues running, ensuring that the exact time is kept. Together with the red 24-hour hand, two 24-hour rings show a second and third time zone – the Patravi TravelTec can thus display the time in three locations in the world at the same time. The inner ring can be moved an hour at a time both forwards and backwards, using a brand new single push-button mechanism – a first in the history of watchmaking. The watch is 50 meters water resistant and features a calf leather strap.

Carl F. Bucherer Launches a Show about Travels

Carl F. Bucherer will be sponsoring a “City by City“ show which wlii be broadcasted at www.citybycity.tv.
The watch company has already signed agreements with several dozens of authors which will travel around Europe and Asia. Their reports will contain information about museums, hotels, clubs, bars, restaurants, unusual and interesting attractions.
As the spokesmen of the manufactory has explained this project is aimed at demonstration of Carl F. Bucherer’s interest not only in innovations in the sphere of watchmaking but also I methods of being in dialogue with its customers.
“The spirit of innovations and travels is characteristic of our customers”, Bruno Ufer, Carl F. Bucherer’s executive vice president, said. “And we are going to support it. Our new project will help people to orientate in the world of tourism and bring the joy of new knowledge to them “.
