Lionel Messi: New Audemars Piguet Ambassador

The family of ambassadors of the renowned watchmaking company Audemars Piguet has recently been joined by new member. The company proudly informs that Lionel Messi, the outstanding footballer, has recently become the brand’s new ambassador.
Lionel Messi started playing football at a very early age in his hometown’s Newell’s Old Boys. In 2005, Messi starred for the Argentina U-20 team that won the Football World Youth Championship played in The Netherlands. Messi picked up the Golden Boot as top scorer with 6 goals, and the Golden Ball for the best player of the tournament. In 2009, this young talented sportsman was bestowed with a number of titles and distinctions: FIFA 2009 World Player of the Year, as well as the 2009 Golden Ball award and Player of the Spanish League. These awards also include the team’s successes with FC Barcelona, such as the 2006 and 2009 UEFA Champions League and the FIFA Club World Cup and Spanish League.
The footballer says he is proud to be part of Audemars Piguet’s family of ambassadors. He says that he shares the values of the company and respects its noble missions aimed at helping different groups of people. Together with Audemars Piguet Lionel Messi is eager to pass his experience to younger generations. This remarkable partnership is expected to give birth to several important social projects carried out together by “Fundacion Leo Messi” and Audemars Piguet.

The team of ambassadors of the prestigious watchmaking brand Audemars Piguet has recently been replenished by two new members. Now the company will be represented by two successful golf players – Anthony Kim and Rory McIlroy. Kim is currently ranked 10th and Mcllroy 13th in the Official World Golf Rankings, and both players are widely recognized as two of the most exciting young players in the game.
At 24 years of age Anthony Kim rocketed onto the PGA scene after turning pro in 2006. His best finish on the PGA Tour in 2010 is 1st at the Shell Houston Open, and he had a remarkable 3rd place finish at April’s Master’s Tournament.
Rory Mcllroy, who will turn 21 years of age on May 4th, is the youngest ever player to make the world’s Top 50 and became only the second 20 year-old to break into the world’s Top 10, after Sergio Garcia. His victory at the Dubai Desert Classic in January 2009 and fourteen Top 10 finishes took him to 2nd place in the European Tour rankings last year. His best finish in a Major tournament to date is 3rd place at the US PGA Championship in August 2009.
As ambassadors of Audemars Piguet Kim and Mcllroy will represent the brand worldwide in marketing activities including client and retailer events, as well as attend corporate events with Audemars Piguet’s clients. They will also wear Audemars Piguet timepieces as they play tournaments around the world.

The team sponsored by the renowned watchmaking company Audemars Piguet has recently become the winner of the traditional royal elephant polo tournament that took place on March 22-28, 2010, in Thailand. The event attracted numerous spectators and supporters who were not disappointed by the competition.

Any award ceremony is a special event for both stars and their fans. The first have enjoy the opportunity to prove their star status accentuating it with fashionable outfits and trendy accessories while the second have an opportunity to understand what is in fashion today and what is going to become a trend.
The recent Golden Globe awards ceremony wasn’t an exception in this sense. Audemars Piguet New Vice President of Latin America Division

The renowned watchmaking company Audemars Piguet announces staff changes in its American branch. Ms. Jasmine Bapic has recently been appointed as Vice President for the company’s Latin American operations. Ms. Bapic will assume the role following the promotion of Antonio Seward from managing director of Latin America to CEO of Audemars Piguet Spain.
Earlier Ms. Bapic worked as a manager for the brand’s Bal Harbour boutique and as the Audemars Piguet sales representative for the East Coast region of the United States. The representatives of the company said that Ms. Bapic’s extensive experience made her a natural choice for the position of vice president of Latin America Division. Francois-Henry Bennahmias, President and CEO of Audemars Piguet, said that Jasmine Bapic was the best possible candidate to perform the functions of Vice President of Latin America Division. He added that her remarkable talent would surely contribute to continuous success of the brand.
In her new position Ms. Bapic will oversee the sales and marketing efforts of South America, Mexico, and the Caribbean and will report directly to Francois-Henry Bennahmias.
