February 5, 2010
During BaselWorld 2010 Watch and Jewellery fair the young watchmaking brand Ateliers de Monaco is going to unveil its novelty watch – a new minute repeating timepiece with tourbillon Carré d’’Or Squelette Grand Tourbillon Répétition Minute TB-RM1. The watch was fully designed and assembled on premises of the company’s workshops.

The new Ateliers de Monaco TB-RM1 watch is notable for a luxurious 18k gold square water-resistant-type case with manually skeletonized dial. The movement is decorated too. The new watch is really exclusive: the company produces only 8 copies of it – which makes it a unique purchase for a collector. After the first presentation at BaselWorld fair, Ateliers de Monaco will display its unique timepiece on April 15-18 during the Top Marques Luxury event in Monaco.

Les Ateliers de Monaco: New Luxury Watch Manufacturer from Monaco.
June 12, 2009
Recently Monaco has witnessed the creation of a new independent luxury watch brand – Les Ateliers de Monaco. Inspired by the people, scenery and creative heritage of Monaco the brand creates iconic timepieces that are derived from their passion to challenge existing conventions to leave a true legacy.
The new brand is supported by Peter and Aletta Stas, the owners of Swiss brands Frederique Constant and Alpina. The new brand is going to produce up to 30 pieces this year with a goal of growing to 130 pieces annual production with prices starting at 88,000 Swiss francs.

The first watch model presented by Ateliers de Monaco is Carré d’Or watch. The timepiece owes its name to the famous square in the centre of the Principality of Monaco. The case of the new watch has a titanium core to which golden parts are secured. In the result the shape of the case is rather complicated but harmonious.
As far as the movement is concerned the main zest o it is the transparent sapphire tourbillon bridge. The movement also features carved heraldic rotor, guilloche main plate and blued screws. The rotor is partly seen from the face of the timepiece – at the lower part of the dial.
