]]> The founder of the new watchmaking brand Aspen Jewelry and Watches, Rene van Ass, has chosen the mountain ski resort Aspen Mountain as a source of inspiration. This seems to be a little bit strange for a Netherlander who opened his manufactory in Switzerland. Anyway all the aesthetics of the only creation of the young brand – the Aspen One watch – is based on the image of the mountain in Colorado.

So, for example, the numeral “4” at the dial stands for the time when ski lift returns the skiers back to town. Besides the watch shows the markers of the Swiss compass Trek HR900 with a floating disc, which denotes states neighbouring with Aspen Mountain and local sights. The first collection of watches by Aspen is limited to 3267 timepieces: the number of watches in the collection symbolizes the height of the mountain in feet.

The new Aspen One is powered by ETA 2894-2 movement. The case of the watch measures 45 mm in diameter and is crafted from white or red gold. The watch is available with different variants of the dial and straps. The dial is protected with sapphire crystal. Water resistance is 30 meters.
