During the forthcoming watch and jewelry fair in Basel the reputable watchmaking brand TechnoMarine is going to unveil its new collection of timepieces – Cruise Sport. The brand has always been known as a producer of the highest quality sportive watches with impressive functionality – and the new collection corresponds to all the standards of TechnoMarine in technical characteristics as well as in eye-catching design. The new line Cruise Sport collection known since 1997 includes watches that intricately combine sporty plastic with diamonds.
Instead of plastic bracelets the new watches from Cruise Sport collection will be accompanied with comfortable and flexible silicon straps. The design of the bezel has also been changed: it has become more austere. The silhouette is straightforward and absent of excessive embellishments. Water resistant up to 200m, the Cruise Sport is available in a chronograph or three-hand style.
Cruise Sport’s black form is punctuated by subtle pops of colour along the bezel, minute hand and tachymeter. Carefully selected shades of white, blue, fuchsia, green and orange maintain the brand’s attitude, while accommodating a desire to wear the watch regardless of climate or season.
Inside the Cruise Sport watch there is a reliable Citizen FS20 Quartz movement. It is housed by a 45-mm 316L stainless steel case.

Victorinox Dive Master 500 Black Ice Chrono
The well-known Swiss watchmaking company Victorinox proudly presents its new timepiece - the Dive Master 500 Black Ice Chrono watch. The novelty is notable for extreme durability and impressive water resistance to 500 meters which makes the timepiece a good equipment for those who re fond of diving. The new Victorinox Dive Master 500 Black Ice Chrono accommodates an ETA 251.262 quartz movement which provides the functions of hours, minutes, seconds, date and chronograph. Bell & Ross Creates Watch for Concept Car Control Panel
The relations between watchmaking and automobile industries can be considered identical: super cars and concept cars make a perfect background that allows watchmakers to raise the charm and presentable look of their watches to the necessary n-power. That’s why it is not surprising that promising in this context automobile industry presents great interest for the watchmaking manufactory Bell & Ross. And this interest is far from being idle: among the most well-known projects of Bell & Ross there are those connected with cars – a chronograph for Belgian Grand Prix F1 in 2005 (Grand Prix Chronograph) and a watch for the concept car Peugeot in 2006.
 The new project of the reputable watchmaking brand is also connected with cars and namely the 80th International Motor Show in Geneva that starts on March 14, 2010. The prestigious event is very important for Bell & Ross: together with Peugeot the brand is going to present its new timepiece integrated into the control panel of the concept car: SR1 (Peugeot SR1 Concept Car).
The Bell & Ross SR1 Concept Watch is crafted from stainless steel, and measures 46mm x 46mm. In the fundamental dimensions and finishing of the case, it is essentially identical to the brand’s well-received BR 01-97 Power Reserve. However, the dial of the SR1 Concept watch certainly attains uniqueness with a texture that resembles the crystalline patterns of a snowflake. The boldly faceted hour and minute hands are in nickel-plated steel and present an extremely technical impression - one which coordinates superbly with the dial design, as well as the grandiose sweeping lines and futuristic gauges of the Peugeot SR1 Concept Car interior.
The watch is powered by an ETA 2897 self-winding movement, which offers a rapid advance date display, central seconds with a hacking function and a power reserve complication. Water resistance is 100 meters. The smoothly grained leather strap is made from the same leather as the upholstery of the Peugeot Concept Car and joins to a Bell & Ross tang buckle in brushed stainless steel.
The press release from Bell & Ross says that the Peugeot SR1 Concept watch is a one-off creation and will not be produced in series.

Frederique Constant Runabout

The Geneva-based watchmaking manufactory Frederique Constant is proud to present a new retro-style watch – a classical Runabout chronograph – inspired by the vintage water vehicle. The Runabout is a class of small motorboats holding between four and eight people, well suited to moving about on the water. Runabouts appeared in the beginning of the 20th century and were very popular in the period between the two World Wars. The runabouts of the 1920s can be compared with vintage cars of the same period – their elegance and power still attracts many fans of vintage vehicles.
Both in gold and steel the new Frederique Constant Runabout looks as luxurious classics. At first sight the watch doesn’t remind of traditional yacht timepieces. But still the vintage yacht theme is clearly seen in the polished Arabic numerals at the dial and in the location of the small counters at 6, 9 and 12 o’clock as well as in expressive hands. But the most interesting part of the watch is seen at the back case.
At the metal part of the back case there is an engraving of the marine propeller and the inscription indicates on the good water resistance down to 100 meters. The work of the movement of the new Frederique Constant watch can be seen trough the small sapphire crystal aperture-porthole.
The new watch is powered by the automatic calibre FC-392 based on the ETA/Valjoux 7750 providing power reserve for 42 hours. The refined retro style of the watch is accentuated with a silvery dial with an engraving Pave de Paris and a calf leather strap covered with water resistant treatment from the inner side.
