Two revolutionary watch designers Jean-Francois Ruchonnet and Eric Coudray proudly present their new creation – the Nostromo watch whose design was inspired by science fiction. The name of the watch was borrowed from that of a space craft from the Alien movie.

The massive rectangular case is made of titanium covered with PVD. The vertical wheel gear is organized on a pinion-shaft principle. The mechanism features hollow bridges with the barrel-counters fixed on the crutch. The rotary barrels show hours, minutes, seconds and power reserve.

There is something original and even scary greenish-yellow luminescent treatment covering the movement. The watch boasts quite a number of crystals: one at the front, two at the sides and one at the back. All the crystals allow observing the movement from all angles. The new Nostromo watch is completed with a rubber strap that is perfectly integrated into the case and glows with the same sinister light.

The first idea that comes to one’s mind about the Nostromo that it is a monster-watch. But probably the designers pursued this very goal – the timepiece is strongly associated with its namesake from the horror movie.

Technically the watch features the following characteristics: the movement is mechanical and manually wound - CAB PG 160 with 37 rubies. Balance frequency is 21,600 bph, power reserve makes up 50 hours. The front sapphire crystal is additionally metallized.

Soon after the announcement of the official partnership between the watchmaking company Hublot and Formula 1 the Shanghai World finance centre witnessed the presentation of the new F1 King Power watch dedicated to this remarkable event. As it is clearly seen from the name of the novelty the watch is dedicated to the partnership with the world known car race. The eye-catching design of the new Hublot timepiece was inspired by the race super cars.

The novelty like Hublot borrows the design of the brake mechanism of a F1 car. The watch will be produced in a limited edition that according to the CEO of the company Jean-Claude Biver will be sold out very quickly.

The new Hublot watch features a powerful massive case made of satinized zirconium framed by the zirconium-ceramic bezel. The watch is notable for the unique multilayer dial whose dark surfaces are beautifully contrasted by bright red elements. The watch is secured on the wrist by a super-comfortable strap made of rubber covered with a special composite material – Nomex – which is widely used for the production of overalls for the F1 pilots. Naturally, the strap and the dial show the F1 logo on them.

The watch is powered by the HUB 4100 movement with a tungsten carbide rotor. The movement features 27 jewels and guarantees power reserve for 42 hours. It animates the functions of hours, minutes, seconds and chronograph.
