TAG Heuer Monaco for Porsche Club of America
June 29, 2010
Those who are fond of the luxury car brand Porsche know for sure about the Porsche Club of America founded more than 50 years ago. Today it is considered to be one of the most numerous independent automobile club in the world uniting more than 100,000 members and having 139 departments all over the USA. When the club was celebrating its 50th anniversary the company developed a limited series of Porsche 911 Club Coupe. Out of 50 exclusive cars from this series 48 were sold to the most famous and worthy members of the club, and one car was presented to the lucky winner of the special lottery.

This year the club is celebrating its 55th birthday. And this time the event is celebrated with the special edition of the Monaco watch created in cooperation with the famous watchmaking brand TAG Heuer. The choice of the model is not accidental – the Monaco timepiece became a legend in 1970 when the watch decorated the wrist of Steve McQueen in the film dedicated to the world of racing – “Le Mans”.
The black dial of the jubilee timepiece is crossed by a red and a black rally strips and the number 55 at 6 o’clock reminds of the special date. At the transparent back case there is the logo of the club. The dial of the new TAG Heuer watch also shows steel hands and hour-markers, treated with a luminous compound. The design of the watch is harmoniously completed with a special black leather strap with racing holes and red stitching.
The new TAG Heuer Monaco watch is produced in a strictly limited edition of 55 pieces.
