Chopard L.U.C Engine One Tourbillon

The renowned and reputable jewellery and watchmaking brand Chopard is proud to present its novelty – the L.U.C Engine One Tourbillon watch created to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the company. Naturally the watch is produced in a liited edition with number of copies being equal to the age of the brand.
Inside the new Chopard watch there is a COSC certified in-house movement L.U.C 1TRM tourbillon with 29 jewels. Balance frequency is 28,800 bph and power reserve makes up 60 hours. The movement features the prestigious complication typical of luxury timepieces – a tourbillon – and animates the functions of hours, minute, seconds and power reserve indication.
The novelty by Chopard is housed by a satinized and polished titanium case measuring 44.4 mm х 35.4 mm in size. The dial as well as the back case is protected with sapphire crystal coated with anti-reflection treatment. The watch is water resistant down to 50 meters.
The new Chopard L.U.C. Engine One Tourbillon is completed with a manually sewn crocodile leather strap fitted with a titanium buckle.

Hautlence HL08
During the forthcoming BaselWorld Watch and Jewellery Show 2010 the renowned creative watchmaking brand Hautlence is going to unveil its new version of the HL08 timepiece. They say that the new Hautlence watch opens the door to the new ways of reading the time. And indeed this the watch is a real horological masterpiece, designed around an extremely complex manufactory-made movement.
The manually wound movement of the new Hautlence HL08 animates such functions as the retrograde minute display and the jumping hours indicated on the disc. Both are driven by the minute cannon-pinion. This complicated movement is protected by a patent. It boasts 24 jewels, Cotes de Geneve finishing and manually bevelled bridges. Power reserve makes up 40 hours.
The new Hautlence timepiece is produced in a limited edition of 88 copies. It is housed by an 18K white gold case measuring 435 mm х 37 mm in size. The black dial is shielded with engraved sapphire crystal with beveled angles. Water resistance is down to 30 meters.
The new Hautlence timepiece is accompanied by a manually made alligator leather strap equipped with an 18K white gold buckle.
The new watch is also available in other version: with a circular 41-mm case, jumping hour and retrograde minute indication.

Longines Presents Two Chronographs
The BaselWorld 2010 is nearer and nearer. And the watchmakers continue to introduce their novelties. This year the citadel of elegance – the Swiss watchmaking brand Longines – is going to delight its customers and all lovers of classics and sports with two classical chronographs - Longines Column-Wheel and Longines Column-Wheel Sports. Both watches are powered with the in-house movement L688.2 equipped with column wheel that was introduced by the company in 2009. The movement guarantees 54 hours of power reserve.
 
The classical Longines Column-Wheel chronograph is housed by a 39-mm case crafted from 18K rose gold or from steel while its sportive “brother” features a 41-mm steel case. The dials of both watches are protected with sapphire crystal. And water resistance has been improved – now the timepiece are resistant to water pressure down to 100 meters.

Azimuth SP-1 Spaceship

During the forthcoming BaselWorld Watch and Jewellery Show 2010 the watchmaking company Azimuth will unveil its new horological creation – the new version of the timepiece from the legendary space collection SP-1 Mecanique. It has a unique, sleek design: it recreates the night sky, complete with a globe that rotates once every 60 seconds. Its minute hand is shaped like a space shuttle and has a rotating disc showing the hour positioned at the base of the watch.
Inside the new Azimuth watch there is a self-winding movement ETA/UNITAS calibre 6497/8 with 17 jewels. The movement is finely decorated with the Cotes de Geneve pattern. The movement animates the functions of hours, minutes and seconds as well as the “jumping hour” system.
The new Azimuth timepiece features a stainless steel case measuring 45 mm in diameter equipped with sapphire crystal. Water resistance is 30 meters. The face of the watch is a dark blue dial imitating the sky of stars and boasting indices coated with Superluminova treatment.
The watch is secured on the wrist with a black rubber strap with double butterfly clasp made of steel.
