CEO Cartier International to Be Awarded “Person of the Yaer” Title

On December 17, 2010, in Geneva Bernard Fornas, CEO Cartier International, was awarded the “Person of the Year” title.

The decision was taken by the jury consisting of professional journalists working in the leading watch magazines. In their opinion Bernard Fornas managed to immortalize Cartier’s values and at the same time offer to the brand dazzling innovations.

Raimond Weil: EasyJet Best Watch

During the last six months the readers of the magazine distributed on board the planes of the EasyJet airline have been voting for their favourite products, places and services all round the world. All in all 110,000 visitors of the airline’s website took part in voting. Voters were absolutely free to enter their favourite brand, as there were no brands suggestions.

The Swiss watchmaking brand Raymond Weil has been chosen by the EasyJet readers as the winner in its category. The watchmaking company believe that the brand’s success is based on the constant replenishment of collection, use of complicated movements and strengthening of the brand’s positions in the basic and medium price segments.
The representatives of Raymond Weil said that the company is absolutely delighted to receive this Award from the EasyJet passengers. It is a significant recognition for the independent family-owned company and for all the partners and staff who largely contribute to the brand’s international success.

Golden Globe Starring Chronoswiss, IWC, Audemars Piguet and Harry Winston

Any award ceremony is a special event for both stars and their fans. The first have enjoy the opportunity to prove their star status accentuating it with fashionable outfits and trendy accessories while the second have an opportunity to understand what is in fashion today and what is going to become a trend.

The recent Golden Globe awards ceremony wasn’t an exception in this sense. The celebrities not only chose fashionable and luxurious dresses and tuxedos but also eye-catching accessories as luxury watches by the most prestigious brands. For example sparkling timepieces by Harry Winston were spotted on the wrists of Fergie and her husband Josh Duhamel as well as Robert Downey Jr. who became the winner in the “Best Actor” nomination of the 67th Golden Globe awards ceremony. Robert Downey Jr. chose Harry Winston Avenue Squared to match his outfit.
Steve Carell, one of American comedy’s most popular faces and the winner of the Golden Globe and the Writers Guild of America Prize, chose the classical Chronoswiss Kairos watch to wear during the ceremony. Producer, actor and script writer Nick Cannon preferred the diamond-set watch by Audemars Piguet. And a young American actor Taylor Lautner who performed as Jacob Black in the “Twilight” movie chose IWC Portuguese Chrono Automatic watch to wear during the Golden Globe Awards ceremony.

Sarpaneva Korona K3 Black Moon Wins Good Design Award

The new original timepiece by Stepan Sarpaneva - Korona K3 Black Moon – has recently won two Good Design awards instituted by the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design.

The Good Design award was founded in 1950 by architect was established in 1950 by Edgar J. Kaufman, Jr., and is one of the world’s oldest and most celebrated awards programs. The program recognizes designers and manufacturers for advancing new and innovative product concepts that push the envelope beyond what is considered standard product and consumer design.
Sarpaneva Korona K3 Black Moon watch is a worthy winner of the award. Produced in a limited edition of 20 pieces the new Sarpaneva watch is different in comparison with other watches indicating full moon. The timepiece allows to observe the arrival of the new moon when the Earth’ satellite disappears from the sky of stars.

Ulysse Nardin Moonstruck: Watch of the Year

Recently the renowned watchmaking company Ulysse Nardin has replenished its collection of awards with the prestigious “Watch of the Year” of Malaysia.

The winning timepiece Moonstruck was given the prize by the jury for the innovative character of the model and its unique design. The award was given to the CEO Ulysse Nardin Dato Rolf Schnyder during the grand ceremony in Malaysian biggest watch store Starhill Gallery which retails watches produced by 110 prestigious brands.
