On February 12, 2010, in Vancouver the official opening of the Winter Olympic Games will take place. For the 24th time the renowned watchmaking brand Omega is given the honour to be the official timekeeper of the event.
The début of Omega as the official timekeeper of the Olympic Games took place in 1932 in Los Angeles when the brand equipped the referees with the stopwatch chronometers.

The information provided by chronometers and other information-processing gadgets will be checked by 218 experts. In total the brand is going to provide the organizers of the Olympics with 200 tons of equipment.
The results of Paralympics that start on March 12, 2010, will also be measured with the help of Omega’s timekeeping equipment.
