Tourbillon MT3 by Blu is one of the most striking exhibits of BaselWorld 2008. This really royal watch is an example of 3D almost architectural chronometers. Designed by Bernard Lederer and assembled in the Blu manufactory this new innovative tourbillon ideally replenishes the model Blu Planet from the BLU collection.

MT3 is rotating on three different axes. Two of the three axes are brilliantly assembled in a linear way preserving the whole system in one plane. Equipped by three usual speeds of rotating Blu MT3 is a unique tourbillon, indicating time: hours, minutes and seconds. This became possible due to 12-hours’ pendulum of the tourbillon combining in it one-hour tourbillon (made in the shape of a minute hand) and concentric built-in semi-pendulum one-minute tourbillon. Three tourbillons not only function as the indicators of time but also fully synchronized with their right optical speed. A witty differential guarantees that the minute hand, including balance, is always placed in he right way towards the longitudinal axis; figure 12 is always at the top. There is an impression that the movement swims in a transparent case inside a rotunda with 12 columns, reminding the colonnade of the Greek pantheon. Visual columns indicate time. The case of the innovative design features incline from 12 to 6 o’clock that requires unbelievable accuracy while making sapphire crystal.
The case of the MT3 is made of white or rose gold. The diameter of the case is 43 mm and its height is 15 mm.
The line is 50 copies limited. Each tourbillon is made manually. Unique variants may be made to order.
