Richard Mille has presented an updated modern interpretation of a pocket watch that without doubt will be very interesting for watch collectors and connoisseurs.

RM 020 is the first pocket watch in the history that is made with the use of nonmetal platinum. Platinum is made of carbon nanofibers that are used in military aircraft construction. It is an isotropic composite material forming at the very high pressure and temperature (2000ºC) that result in the highest mechanical, physical and chemical durability of the material.

Tourbillon release primarily invented in the 19 century for pocket watches is driven by two winding barrels. Both barrels are connected and provide a 10-day’s power reserve. The power reserve indicator is placed between 9 and 10 o’clock.

RM 020 is supplemented with a titanium chain with a lock and a special support allowing to use the RM 020 as a desk watch.

All models of RM 020 feature titanium central cases and front and back case made of 18-carat rose gold, white gold or titanium.

The progress in this important sphere of watchmaking started by Richard Mille has opened a new era of usage modern materials in watch industry. ‘Time machine’ RM 020 is a perfect synthesis of the classical watch values of the 18 century and the technology and aesthetics of the 21 century.

The Nielsen Global Luxury Brands research, conducted in 48 countries among 27 thousand buyers, has shown that the world most brand-addicted region is Xianggang, the administrative centre of Hong Kong. Almost a half of Xianggang’s citizens have confessed that for them the brand is the crucial point when buying things.

Frankly speaking, Greece has overtook Xianggang by several per cents, but the variety of brands Xianggang’s buyers choose is more diverse: apart form such brand-names as Gucci or Louis Vuitton, they showed interest to less mass brands as Bottega Veneta, Chloe, Marc Jacobs, etc.

After the results of the research were published the representatives of the fashion elite appeared before the Xianggang’s citizens and warned them about the dangers of brand mania. New golden chronograph by EBERHARD&Co is a classical-looking timepiece harmonically combining the traditions of the reputable brand and mechanical sophistication. The chronograph’s automatic caliber E/J 8150 made on the basis of ETA 7750 with a columnar wheel is fitted with a useful function of blocking the nulling button in the chronograph mode. The case of the Extra-Fort Roue is made of polished gold. The dial is silvered with laid-on indices. Both front and back case are equipped with sapphire crystal.

The AEROWATCH SA watchmaking house has presented a new version of its Renaissance Moonphase chronograph model available in a limited edition of 500. This new steel version introduces a new style, while preserving the characteristics and identity of the brand.

The automatic chronograph movement is decorated in the purest Swiss watchmaking tradition with circular-grained bridges, blued screws and an oscillating weight featuring “Cotes de Genève� decoration. In addition to the chronograph functions, the date is indicated by a date hand while the moon phases are visible through a dial aperture at 3 o’clock.

The stainless steel case measures 42mm and has a salient sapphire crystal and transparent back case. The watch is water resistant to 50 meters. Movement is the automatic ETA Valjoux 7750 with moonphase.
