The timepiece is an Audemars Piguet Canape Tourbillonwatch produced in limited numbers circa 2001. It is a very fine, very rare and unusual, rectangular, platinum wristwatch with visible one-minute tourbillon regulator and a platinum Audemars Piguet buckle.
The watch is housed by a two-body, solid, polished case with brushed, cylindrical and curly lugs. The watch boasts a matte silver dial with applied white gold Arabic and square indexes. At 12 o'clock there is power reserve indication, at 6 o'clock - an aperture for the visible tourbillon cage under a polished steel bridge.
The watch is powered by the calibre 2878, rhodium-plated movement with fausses cotes decoration, 21 jewels, lateral lever escapement with one-minute tourbillon regulator with titanium cage and 3 equidistant polished arms, monometallic balance with screws.
