 Armand Nicolet was born in1890 in the family of a watchmaker. The boy was very talented for watch making and by the age of 20 he was able to start his own business. In 1910 he founded his own watch workshop where he started to produce timepieces under the brand name Armand Nicolet.
Nicolet died in 1939. Since that time several generations of the Nicolet family have been replacing one another at the post of the leader of the company so that Armand Nicolet watches were on sale and found their admirers.
In course of time the company was bought by new owners, but Armand Nicolet still exists and continues to develop. And what is more important that new owners of the company managed to preserve the spirit and the philosophy of the brand.
The chief executive of Armand Nicolet company Ronaldo Braga says: «We make watches in a way Armand did them. We pay a lot of attention to the details, durability and diversity of elegant shapes. We treat each mechanical calibre individually.»

The cases of Armand Nicolet watches are made of stainless steel or 18-carat gold. They feature sapphire crystals, leather straps or bracelets of stainless steel or gold; some models are equipped with a functional bracelet fastener. The timepieces by Armand Nicolet are extremely durable and feature water resistance from 50 up to 200 meters depending on the model.
