Kienzle

The German watchmaking brand of Kienzle is one of the oldest and most reputable in the country. In the distant 1822 Johannes Schlenker founded a clocksmith's workshop in the town of Schwenningen in Germany. He started with manufacturing and sales of hand-crafted, wooden twelve-hour clocks with a cord-driven winding mechanism. The clock became popular among the customers and the small business started to flourish. In 1883 a 24-year-old merchant Jakob Kienzle married into the Schlenker family and became a partner in the company, which is now trading under the name "Schlenker & Kienzle". Later the company turned into a big watchmaking company and under the brand name of Kienzle entered the world market.

Throughout its history, Kienzle has developed and produced timepieces by people for people or as the company states - distinctive watches for discerning individuals. This emotional connection has inspired the designers from Kienzle to create striking cases and has given rise to a collection that promises a proud future. The leaders of the brand also say that the brand managed to preserve its identity over such a long and eventful period of time owing to special focus on technical and innovative expertise and on the people for whom the products are created.

Now the collection of Kienzle watches consists of 6 ranges: Edition Jacob Kienzle, Kienzle 1822, Kienzle Klassik, Kienzle clocks, Kienzle wall clocks and Novelties. Each range offers high quality timepieces for everyday wear and timepieces for interior. The wristwatches by Kinzle are made of high quality materials as stainless steel or sapphire crystal. They are powered by ETA movements and boast a number of interesting complications.
